Hi
30 minutes ago I decided
to do something that I hope will make
5 special people’s lives a whole
lot easier and I’d love your help
in making that happen.
It all started this morning when I visited
an aged person's home with my mum. We
spent an hour giving 20 of the residents
foot and hand massages.
And you know what? It was only an hour
of my time but I could tell it meant so
much to them. For many of them I think
it made their Christmas!
I know it made mine!
For me, today was an added reminder of
what Christmas is
really all about.
It's about the magic of giving and it's
about love for our fellow human beings.
So …
... here's the part about
that decision ...
As a follow up to our Single
Mum's Income and Lifestyle
Experience (SMILE) program I have decided
to help out
5 more single mums and dads.
I’m awarding 5 scholarships
to our “Freelance Business Writing
Certificate” (it’s an online
correspondence course that we are launching
in January).
This course will give them
all the education and skills
they need to earn a great income from
home as a freelance business writer.
I’ll also add in
some personal, one-on-one mentoring with
me. All up the scholarships are worth
about $1500 each.
Here’s where you
can help…
If you know of any single
mums or dads with dependant children who
are doing it tough and would love to earn
a healthy income as a freelance writer,
please pass this email on to them.
To apply all they need
to do is to let me know in 300 words or
less why they would like to win the course
scholarship and send us a sample of something
they have written. Please also include
postage details and telephone contact
details.
The only conditions are
that they must be from an English-speaking
country and you must be able to speak
and write English fluently. And ... (of
course) they need to be single parents
with children under 16 who are living
with them.
Entries close January 30
and winners will be notified early February.
